- Mission description

Relentless is the ninth Allied Act Two campaign mission.

Background

Following the success of destroying Yuri's Psychic Amplifier in the Amazon Rain Forest. Intel reveals a major Epsilon Naval Base in South Africa which also acts as a communication hub for all Epsilon forces in the world. Allied High Command decided to send their best Commander and their forces to destroy that Base.

Events

Launching the Attack

Mustering whatever is left of both EU and Pacific Front, they launch an all-out assault. Intel had showed to the Commander's radar screen the Allied Base to be re-captured which was under Epsilon Control, stating that base had the information of Yuri's plans and other base of operations. With the Commander in charge of the initial assault, the other Allied Commanders coordinate their attacks elsewhere.

After moments of battle, the Epsilon forces defending the brainwashed Allied give-up and dismantle the Psychic Beacon there, freeing the Allied soldiers and transferring the control of the base to the Commander.

Defending the Allied Base and the Weather Control Device

With the Allied Base secured, data transfer to locate the Epsilon Bases begins instantly. However dire news had just come, Yuri dispatched his submarines to haunt down the Paradox Engine which forces the Allied Navy to fall back to keep the enemy busy. During that moment, the Commander was granted access to call forth reinforcements via Chrono shifts and later the Weather Control Device was deployed in where the Beacon stood.

During those moments, the Allied Navy reported that Epsilon Forces had manage to destroy the Paradox Engine's spare battery during the battle. This forces the remaining Allied Ships to withdraw to defend the Paradox Engine.

Eventually forces from the Scorpion Cell appeared to harass the Commander's base but manage to held them back, however the constant enemy infantry prompts the Commander to call for reinforcements, which a squad of Snipers were paradrop to assist him.

Once the Weather Control Device is fully charged, it is used to destroy one of Epsilon Bases.

Initiating the Offense-Defense

With all set, additional forces where chronoshift and para-drop in the frontline. Orders to destroy the Epsilon Base which in the heart of the city, nevertheless the data files are still important and order the Commander to seize the Radar Spires. Once the Commander began to construct the forward base, the "Southern Cross" group commence their attack as reports that the Epsilon Cloning Vats are now in full power.

Still the Commander were forced to dig-in as the Epsilon Forces aggressively attack his new base. Unknown enemy aircraft had also appeared during this attack, which bombards the Allied Infantry and converts them to Brutes. Still those weren't enough and the commander unleash another Lighting Storm into the Epsilon Base to cripple it's important structures.

Another unknown enemy aircraft had being sighted and attack the Commander's base whom fires plasma cannons, however they're still not enough. Along with that, the Reshephs began to appear and attempt to bombard the commander's base as well as the Weather Device.

During those moments, Intel detects a huge energy of psychic power muster near the commander's base which destroys one of his structures and some of his forces near it fall to Epsilon control.

Slow but steady, the Allied Armor company in the west continue to push deeply as they approach the Allied Naval Base that was under control by the Epsilon Forces, there they destroy the Psychic Beacon and freeing the Allied forces there. Now with no more Epsilon presence in said area, the Armor Company is transport to the frontline to assist the engagement there.

After a prolong offense-defense, the command build up his naval and armored assets and push deep into the Epislon Base. First was destroying the Cloning Vats, then the Tech Missile Pad. More lighting storms were used to weaken the enemy defense. With every Epsilon structure destroyed (save for the Radar Spires), Cape Town has being liberated. Still the surviving Epsilon forces muster for all-out suicide attack to both Allied Commander Bases, however they're quickly disposed off as well.

Aftermath

We found it. His main base is located in the Antarctic. He's building something there. Considering that Yuri had just blown up our backup battery for the Paradox Engine, it would seem we don't have that many options. We have to recharge and strike at the heart.
